Another stage of the International Youth Forum organised by OAO Rosseti was closed in the capital of France on June 5, 2015.
At the two-day session in Paris on June 4–5, the forum participants got acquainted with the peculiarities of Électricité Réseau Distribution France (ERDF), a subsidiary of Électricité de France (EDF). Young people met with the ERDF experts in the areas of active and adaptive grid development, customer relations, and management of power transit. During the visit, they also had a tour to the ERDF presentation centre, Showroom Smart Grids Grenelle, where the participants could enjoy the benefits of grids equipped with smart electricity metres.
"What deserves our special attention is the ERDF know-how in improvement of medium and low voltage grid monitoring. These technologies are widely used in France nowadays, and this experience can certainly be used in Russia," said Natalia Yakshina, the participant of Rosseti team.
In addition, the teams continued working on the projects of energy systems of the future. According to the terms of the Forum competition programme, when designing the projects, the teams should consider the key aspects and potential of cross-border integration of national energy systems of Europe and Asia.
At the end of their work, the young professionals presented theses of the projects they will have to defend at the final stage of the Forum in St. Petersburg.
